How to be animal friendly

How to be animal friendly

It is a known truth that animals are often seen as a human’s best friend. Many have fought – and actually won – for animal’s rights. Unfortunately, there are also people who have no respect for animals and they often contribute to numerous species going extinct. To help teach the world the importance of animals, there are some easy steps that you can follow.

First of all, cut off meat. If you consider yourself a true carnivore, try and reduce meat from your diet as much as you can. Your meals could include more vegetables and alternatives to meat – such as soy – and also dairy products; they consist in many different vitamins and nutrients.

As artificial fur clothes are basically the same as real fur ones, you can skip on buying such products. Since natural fur clothes essentially mean animals being murdered and therefore put on the endangered species list, it is better to cut off the industry that produces and sells such things.

Don’t visit zoos and places where animals are cruelly kept captive, away from their natural environment. Circuses, for example, treat animals with little respect, making them act as they want and if not, using abuse. If there are few tickets bought to these shows, the industry will as well  be forced to make cut downs and therefore less animals will be captured.

Instead of buying a pet, try adopting one. There are millions of unwanted souls that are waiting to be saved from a poor living style. As much as baby pets are adored, a one or two years animal can still be trained.
