Save Pollinating Wasps and Avoid Wasp Stings

Wasps are important for our environment; they are pollinators and also consume other insects. While a Wasp is one of the smallest creatures that roam about us, wasps are also one of the most feared insects.
Killing a wasp is unnecessary and needless until he is particularly there to harm you. Since they are good creatures, here are some ways you can stop killing them by avoiding their stings.
Do not run or swat. If you only see one or two wasps, stay calm. Keep your body in the same position you are in at the utmost stillness and wait for them to go away. If you see a swarm of wasps or if they have started stinging you already, cover your face steadily with your hands and calmly back away from the swarm. Walk slowly. After you have out walked them, seek immediate medical care.

If you see a wasp landing on you, then do not run or swat. Don’t swap the wasp with your hand. Use a cardboard or a paper to wipe it off you slowly. Get up and walk away slowly and steadily until you are far from it.

If you neighborhood is full of things that attract wasps, then remove them to avoid stings. Rotting garbage and compost piles are main attraction for this scary insect. Sweet foods and drinks and heavy perfumes may attract them too. Also, if you are in a picnic, beware of keeping fruits in the open – you might have some uninvited guests. Fruits hanging from fruit trees are also an attraction. Do not leave your pet food outside; wasps may swarm your home.
