Cats and their litter box

Cats and their litter box

As most of us probably know cats are one of the cleanest animals in the world and most of them will never urinate outside of their litter box, unless they are sick, old or angry with you so they want to do something to upset you.

Still many potential owners wonder how to teach a kitten to do their “things” in the litter box, especially because it so small and doesn't know anything.
You don’t have worry about that, because a lot of them learn to pee in their litter box because they see their mommy doing that, or someone teaches them.
But in case you get little rebel who doesn't know anything about the litter box, there are some things you can do to fix that.
It is very important for us to tell you that you shouldn't keep the litter box in a place where your kitten eats and drinks.

The best solution is to put it in your own bathroom or somewhere where it is isolated and quiet because cats love to have privacy when they are going to the bathroom.
If you have more than one cat, you should get more litter boxes, so that every cat has her own.
When you have a kitten you should get a smaller litter box that is not so high, so that he can climb up easily.

If you see that your kitten wants to go to a bathroom, bring him straight away to the litter box because then he will learn what he should do every time he feels the need to urinate.
Make sure you clean the litter box every day because cats are very clean.
